This is the most amazing chalet experience you can hope to find. Muna Moke is situated above a series of switch backs in a heavily treed location above Lake Wakatipu. The designer has taken full advantage of the surroundings and nature through extensive use of windows and architectural lines that create a well-balanced structure. Seriously, it has great feng shui. I love that it is so private that there is no need for draperies that would obscure the view of mountains, lake and trees. And sunsets!!! The beds and linens are luxurious. It is minimally furnished; another nice feature. Nothing extraneous.. That said, it could use a bit more kitchen tools and lamps to read by. My mother and I are avid readers and like to read in the lounge room. There were no lamps. Not a biggie.
