The apartment is in a fabulous location just south of Port Douglas. It is part of a complex of apartments that surround the largest pool area that I have seen, complete with a pool bar serving drinks and meals. All beautifully landscaped and surrounded by palm trees. The apartment itself is very large with a Jacuzzi on the roof terrace where loungers and a barbecue are also located. Everything you need to cater for yourself is available and even umbrellas are provided in case a tropical storm comes your way. The resort is immaculate and the staff very friendly, and the restaurant serves high quality cuisine in torch lit surroundings. I cannot rate the resort more highly. Also a regular bus service is available to take you to Port Douglas which is a lovely looking town with friendly locals. You may also get a guide to the area from the drivers who will happily drop you off at unscheduled stops. Tip: Buy a bus ticket to cover your stay and save yourself some dollars.
