We arrived late in Florence from Verona and the route instructions we received by our guess were perfect .... it is always nice to get to the home we rented easily .... we were welcome by Luca and Cristina that as first thing offered us something to drink to make us feel at home.
The apartment is very clean and absolutely new. All the linen and both robes were clean and we really had a great night sleep after a long journey.
during the day the property has a lot of light and the garden is very pleasant. This property is out in the country but at the same time very close to the beautiful city of Florence so it was very easy and convenient to spend the day visiting museum and art and in the evenings relax in the cool breezy garden. The owners even offered us a dinner during our stay.
We will certanately be back "chez" Luca and Cristina.

I CASTAGNI DEI MEDICI LORENZO is an enchanting location to return to each day after trips around Florence and Tuscany in general. Surrounded by mountains, trees and a lot of vegetation, with an incredible view on the mountains and an other cottage in the distance, this is a great place to rest and recharge your batteries. We found a beautiful Italian house, designed in the typical comfortable relaxing Italian style. We've been welcomed by the warm owners, who gave us all the necessary information, and we found everything one can need inside our apartment (milk, cake, olive oil, sodas, dish washer, washing machine, great cozy rooms). The road to the cottage starts from a small friendly village (where you can find a mini-market with natural sparkling wine) and crosses the forest up to the top. Here you should have some warm clothes because it gets pretty cold in the evening.
Inside the house there are two beautiful rooms with double beds, a fully equipped kitchen a large living room...
