Shades is an easy 5 minute walk from beautiful Paynes Bay. Managed by Jacqui, who was extremely pleasant and helpful and for whom nothing was too much trouble, the attractive, quiet and peaceful complex is small, only 7 apartments, so facilities were never overstretched. The classy apartment is in very good condition; spotlessly clean, well furnished and equipped, exactly as advertised. Very comfortable beds, fabulous showers, good WiFi connection. Very nice communal pool with sun beds. Apartment well serviced with nice towels, beach and bath, changed daily. Coast road just a few, and safe, minutes walk with a regular bus service running north/south. Although we had a hire car we used the buses to go out to dinner or shopping, it's great fun and only 2 BB dollars whatever the distance. Bars and restaurants within walking distance with many more close by in Holetown and beyond. Quality and convenience were key for us; we loved everything about Shades and will definitely go back.
