Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Fantastic Weekend
Booked this place for a special reunion of 4 couples. Couldn't have been more perfect. It is large, well appointed and comfortable with plenty of outside space too. It is remote but that's what we wanted, but you can walk to Peterchurch in about 45 minutes. Steep hill back! Ali our host was welcoming and friendly and provided a welcome pack of farm eggs, cake, milk and delicious home made chutney. We had no trouble with mobile phone, O2 and EE, and WiFi was fine, although didn't try streaming. Kitchen well equipped. We hope to go back.

Outstanding Cothill Barn, Herefordshire
Wow ! Awestruck by the scenery and the barn !! Beautifully decorated and well thought through layout made for a very comfortable stay. Could not have wished for more. Each room had it’s own gorgeous feature. The gardens are beautiful. The whole place is so atmospheric we really felt we were on holiday, yet only 3 hours drive from home. Outstanding 😃👍👍👍

Idyllic country getaway
We had a fantastic stay at the Stable. Such a beautiful and tranquil location; just rolling hills as far as the eye can see. A perfect blend of traditional (living room and bedrooms) and modern (kitchen and bathrooms) interior design, furnished to a very high standard. Joyous to curl up by the wood burner in the evening after a long day walking in the hills! Delightful pub (The Bridge Inn) only a 10 minute drive away. Would highly recommend this property.

Cothill Barn. ticks all the boxes for a good family holiday.
A beautiful spacious house enjoyed by all of our family of 8. We were fortunate to have good weather so we were able to to make good use of the gas BBQ and eat Alfresco most nights at the large garden table. We enjoyed sitting in the evening around the firepit, stargazing. A wonderful and relaxing place to be.

Lovely property
We stayed at Cothill Barn last week. The house is massive and beautifully renovated. The gardens are well kept and spacious. There is a fire pit and a rope swing, which the kids loved. We had a brilliant week and enjoyed the surrounding area. We went for hikes in the Brecon Beacons and up Offas Dyke ridge. We also canoed down the river Wye.

A fantastic place to stay
We have just spent a week in The Stable and it could not have been a better experience. The Stable has been renovated to a brilliant standard giving it the feel of a luxury hotel, while experiencing a homely self catering holiday with our children and dogs. The location on the hill is wonderfully remote and peaceful with spectacular views and our daughter loved seeing the animals from the farm every day. The accommodation is equipped with absolutely anything you may need for your stay - and more. The boot room and all the dog supplies were extremely useful. My parents visited for a couple of days and stayed in the shepherds hut which they found to be very comfortable and warm during the night. We would love to stay again!

Such a wonderful place
We hired both Cothill Barn and The Stable for a long weekend. It was a great experience, Ali and Rob were so accommodating and we love staying here. It is a beautiful venue, really well designed with lovely quirky decor, all in all it’s the perfect getaway. We have stayed here a few times, and we are already talking about coming back again- as we love it so much! Thanks so much for such a lovely place.

Great place to stay, even when the weather is poor
Large and spacious converted barn. Each room is beautiful, all en-suite. Well equipped kitchen, log burner in the lounge. Dogs are welcome too. The barn is located on a farm located a couple of miles from the nearest village so it’s quiet and remote. There’s a lovely pub in the village 3 miles away called The Bridge Inn which does nice food and friendly staff and locals alike. Hereford, Ross, Hay and the Brecon Beacons are all within a 30 minute drive. The barn is a perfect place to spend the week inside with a good book and plenty of naps, but there are footpaths close by if you want to stretch your legs.
