We had styed last October at the Masons Arms Hotel which was very pleasant but this time we wanted to be more "our own boss" and went for a cottage rental for the week. We have fallen in love with this most beautiful tranquil village nestled into the rocky coastline that makes the Jurrassic coast. The cottage surpassed our thoughts, quaint well appointed comfortable and as an added bonus one door away from the Fountain Head Pub which for discerning drinkers is an oasis in this village.Understated in appearance but serving first class ales and ciders and food that would seriously rate amongst Londons finest....a jewel in the glorious Branscombe crown both Clematis cottage and the pub!!!!! Just had an amazing week with my partner, doing the round trip walk through the coppice into the cliff walk from the fountain head down to the coast at Branscombe Mouth and along a bridleway to the village hall and up the steep hill to the cottage....a fantastic view and exhilerating way to...
