Didim Altinkum is known for its 3 beaches with crystal clear blue seas and golden sands, hot weather in summer, seaside attractions, very friendly atmosphere. The locals are welcoming & they make you feel at home. Regular visitors are known to come back every year. The temperature is dry & mild throughout the year with sunshine for most of the days. It is also good for winter breaks.

The 3 beaches are located in Dolphin Square in Altinkum. The sunbeds & umbrellas are available to rent from the beach.There are numerous activities in & around the beach area namely daily boat trips, sporting activities (scuba diving, fishing), Jeep safari, banana boat rides, day trips to Kos, scuba diving lessons for all levels etc You can hire pedal boats, jet skies & speed boats. There are other small private beaches around.
There are numerous restaurants & bars which serve a wide selction of English, Turkish, Mexican, Italian foods at reasonable prices. The restaurtants & bars often have themed nights entertainment & Turkish nights with belly dancers, dance groups etc & open very late till the early hours of the morning in the summer months. Staff are very friendly helpful & speak English. Some restaurants pick up & drop off diners for free.
There are Night Clubs (Galaxy, Flamingo & Medusa), Marina, Shopping Mall (where they sell copy designer goods at very reasonable prices, Jewellery, DVDs etc), banks, bureau de change. Medusa night club has an open air colloseum & opens till the early hours of the morning. The night clubs play the same music as you will get in the UK plus Turkish music.
There is a Karaoke bar called Linekar's 15 mins by car if you fancy it. The atmosphere there is fun, lively & enjoyable. Everyone is welcome to take the microphone & sing on their own or with a group of friends. The staff do an energetic & entertaining dance routine. It's a good night out.
There is a bar/restaurant called Valentine & Big Ben pub by Altinkum beach which serve foods from all over the world, to cater for everyones taste.
The Marina is an interesting place to visit. It has a shopping centre, supermarket, swimming pool, fitness centre etc. It's located near the beach & was finished in April 2009. It's the second largest in Europe & certainly an impressive feature; comparable to all the glitz and glamour of Dubai's celebrity studded Marina projects. The Marina links Didim Altinkum to the Greek Islands. You can hire pleasure & fishing boats from there. The boats go to the Greek Islands & other Islands surrounding Altinkum.
Didim Aqua Park has slides, rides, fantastic view, has an open air restaurant, a bar, sunbeds for your enjoyment. It caters for everyones taste. There are things to keep the whole family entertained. It's about 20 mins bus ride from the apartment.
The local activities in Didim Altinkum include Swimming, Paragliding, Fishing, Diving, Wind-surfing, Walking, Mountaineering, Boat trips to Greek Islands, Jeep Safari, Excursions, Horse riding, Golf etc. We have details of the tour operators in the apartment.
In the city centrre, 10 minutes walk from the apartment, there's Burger King, Internet cafe, 5 minutes walk from the apartment there's hospital, chemists, bus garage etc. You can catch buses to the beach, town, tourist's sights, sporting activities, cinema etc from the bus garage. Dolmus buses run every 5 mins during the summer months & until very late at night. The supermarkets sell a wide range of English, Turkish & European foods.
There's a mini market & bakery 1 min walk from the apartment where you can buy your essentials if you don't fancy going to the Supermarket.
The weekly Saturday Market sells fruits, vegetables, foods, clothes etc at reasonable prices & a nightly market that sells cloths, souvenirs & locally made crafts. You can haggle if you fancy it.
