The Old Kings Arms

There are not many places to eat in Pembroke but the Old Kings Arms situated in Pembroke's Main Street, just a stones throw away from the Castle, a great place to go for an evening meal.  The restaurant is very small, therefore booking is essential especially for a Friday or Saturday night.  The cost of a meal will set you back approximately £3-5 for a starter, £10-£20 for a main course and £3-5 for a dessert.  Perhaps a little expensive but well worth paying the price.  After your meal you can relax in one of the two bars.  Alos serves Sunday roast and a selection of lunches.

The Pembroke Carvery

Situated by the large carpark, around the corner from the castle, a superb Chinese takeawy and restaurant.  Again booking is essential on a Friday or Saturday, don't be deterred by the decor as the food is excellent.  Be prepared to wait up to hour for a takeawy on very busy evenings, especially in the summer.  Telephone in advance to shorten your wait.

The Cleddau Bridge Hotel

Offers a Sunday carvery, at £10.95 and offering a selection of starters, meats and a help yourself choice of vegtables and potatoes, excellent value. 

Family Meals

Try out the Jolly Sailor at Burton - situated across the Cleddau Bridge.  This offers a wide range of meals for adults and children.  Meals start from £4.95 for adults. Booking is essntial for the restaurant, but guests can be accomodated if there is space or alternatively there are picnic benches outside. 

Eating out in Tenby

Trains run from Pembroke to Tenby in the evening, times change, but normally around 4pm, 6pm and 9pm.  The late train back leaves Tenby around 9 - 10pm.  Plenty of great places to eat.

Mrs Brown's

Mrs Brown has been frying fish for the better part of a century, and she is still very popular with locals.   Takeaway service is available on Saturday lunchtimes.    Limited menu available, but the fish is decent white thick high grade fillets of cod, and highly recommended.   The chips are rather good too.   Find Pembroke Post Office - its just next door.
