HOWARD DAVIS PARK

Beautiful park not to far from central St Helier, well worth a visit if your Hotel is nearby.  Enter at the Main Gates at Don Road junction and take time to study Information board.  The Memorial Hall on the left  gives lots of information too.  The Park is a pretty place to spend some time walking around seeing the floral displays and plant specimens.  The adjacent St Lukes Church is interesting as well, it has a 'carillon tower' a small metal stand with bells which rings at prayer times.  The WWII Cemetery is well kept and has unique wooden crosses marking the graves of soldiers and sailors.

There is a Locale supermarket on Elizabeth Street which you can reach by exiting through the St Lukes Church gates and turning left along Route de Fort (good place to get picnic goodies).
