Learn about the history of Deadwood and the Black Hills on a fascinating and fun horseback tour. Riding through Bessie Gulch, past prospecting holes, mine openings, mill sites and railroad grades, you will ride into Grayback Gulch before reaching the summit for incredible views across the northern Black Hills. Barbara Jean, your welcoming and fun guide, will explain the history, geology, flora and fauna of the Black Hills.
Horse riders of all abilities are welcome on the tour, with very gentle horses specifically trained for beginners. There are plenty of photo opportunities throughout the tour, which lasts for approximately 2 hours.
This fun and very unique tour will be the highlight of your trip to Deadwood and the Black Hills. The starting point is only 5min drive from Deadwood, where you will be collected by an off-road vehicle and taken to the homestead for the tour to commence.
