Great Comedy In Charlotte

As Charlotte grows, so does it's underground comedy scene along with the addition of the all new Comedy Zone at the NC Music Factory. The NC Music Factory alone boasts several outdoor music arenas, multiple bars (including a beer garden that is kid and dog friendly.) and a lot of free parking just out side of the 277 loop near uptown.  It used to be hard to find an open mic or improv ensemble in Charlotte, but now there is one just about every night.  You can facebook "charlotte comedy" and find out where all the weekly open mics are and what national acts are playing at Comedy Zone at cltcomedyzone.com, or where the local Improv troupe is playing.  The local favorite is Charlotte Comedy Theater that now hosts family friendly shows at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, along with Chicago style improv found at www.charlottecomedytheater.com.  A simple search of "comedy charlotte" will bring up a host of great local and national acts that are appearing in Charlotte weekly.  Most of the areas local comedy is still available for $10 or less.  So while visiting Charlotte, or any city, don't forget to checkout the local comedy scene.  After all, who doesn't need a good laugh now and then.
