En Route to QENP you will likely pass through the town of Mbarara.  Most tour companies will stop at the Agip Motel for lunch.  Agip has decent English food at slightly high prices with slow service.  If you want really good food at better prices with better service, tell your driver to stop at City Top Restaurant just after the Shell Roundabout, between the Shell station and the Coca Cola distributor.  CTR specializes in Indian, English and Ugandan cuisine, and you'll get a bigger, better meal for less.  Ask what is available because certain things are only available on certain days, and some things are hardly ever available unless one of the 3 South Indian (Tamil) brothers who run the restaurant is in the mood to make them.  A favorite is Chicken Punjabi with Biriyani rice, though the biriyani rice is only available on Fridays and Sundays.

At QENP, the place to eat (as in the only place in the game park) is Mweya Safari Lodge.  Don't be discouraged by the lack of options in eateries, though; Mweya may be the best restaurant in the country!  Pizzas and hamurgers are not recommended. The resort sits on a bluff with a beautiful view overlooking the Kazinga Channel, and on the other side of the channel is a large beach full of Cape Buffalo and Elephants.  Nothing like it in the world.
