There are few stores that commit to one particular genre, in fact, most of the shops in Montauk are an eclectic mix of home furnishings, apparel, accessories, and handmade crafts. Haven on South Elmwood Avenue is designed for fashion-savvy shoppers looking for the perfect antique lamp or distressed, shabby-chic vanity. Seagrass Cove on Edgemere Street also sells antiques, along with artisan jewelry and accessories. If vintage clothing is your passion, check out Screaming Mimis, a  beachy cottage filled with vintage apparel and  fun accessories on Montauk Higway. Despite the potential for olfactory overload, head over to Strawberry Fields on Main Street if you love stores filled will all things scented, as this shop is brimming with candles, dried flowers, potpourri, and other unabashedly feminine wares. At Home en Provence, one of Montauk's most popular stores, sells european-style home furnishings and accessories--perfect to decorate that million dollar beach bungalow you just purchased. If actual furniture is what you seek, Rum Runner Home sells high-end home goods and patio accessories, all with a distinctly luxe beach-house-meets-Park-Ave vibe. Good beach reads can be found at the charming little book shop, Barnacle Books, located in the Plaza. Children will delight in the high quality, educationally sound goodies offered up at Captain Kid Toys on Gosman's Dock and little ladies will be happy to find handmade American Girl doll outfits sold at Willow in the Plaza. Finally, for someone looking to really relax, Samadhi House on South Elmwood Street sells goodies designed for yoga and meditation.  The largest 'spa' selection you propably find at the spa shop on Old Montauk hwy at Gurney's, they also have a sea water spa ( daily fee applies). There are many new shops downtown and at the docks, so you really can go on a shopping adventure.
