For a small city, Frankfort offers a surprising variety of restaurants featuring many types of American, regional, and international cuisine.  The downtown area is home to several restaurants within walking distance from the Capitol and downtown attractions.  Among the offerings available in the downtown area are Mexican, Italian and seafood, as well as an upscale tea room and a traditional American-style diner.
