The Chicago Bears are the city of Chicago’s local team in the National Football League .

The Bear’s home stadium is called Soldier Field, which was constructed during the early 1920’s and officially opened in 1924.  The team has been playing there since the 1971 season, and it has since undergone major renovations.  The stadium is located at 1410 S. Museum Campus Drive, which is in the downtown area of Chicago, near the Museum Campus.  The team plays in the NFC (National Football Conference), and in the 2005 season finished first in the Northern Division with an 11-5 record.  The regular season lasts from the beginning of September, and goes through the beginning of January.  Over this time the team will play 16 games, half of which are at home, so there are only 8 opportunities to catch a game in Chicago.  Locals in the area love the Bears, and when the team is hot, tickets are hard to come by.

The Official Website of the Chicago Bears is a great place to find useful team information such as a Roster , a Schedule, and Team Statistics.  There is also a link on this site for Buying Tickets .
