Hakka Republic Wine Bar and Bistro is a rather unusual concept. It combines a spectacular Chinese design Bar with a Western restaurant. The bar which has private and semi private areas has great music and possibly one of the best wine and whisky lists in Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant section which seats 50,  contrasts with the bar and is decidedly understated in style with a great view of the lovely roof top garden. There are private areas where private parties/dinners can be held.

The kitchen is headed by talented Adi Radzi who spent ten years honing his skills in Tokyo. Favourites in the restaurant include the burgers(including a Wagyu blend),  steamed Wagyu Beef,  Cod in Miso, a Herb Crusted Lamb Chop, their unique flavourful take on Angel hair pasta done Agli Aglio with Seafood and an excellent Duck Confit.

There is a weekday 3 course set lunch  from RM28-00 which is varied daily and can include Beef Brisket and an authentic Duck curry. On Sundays , Hakka Republic has a Brunch buffet at RM65-00which has to be one of the bargains in town and champagne and other drinks at special prices.

Soups here are outstanding. Hakka Republic does some great desserts and many locals are seen ordering their Sticky Date pudding, Croissant & Butter pudding and cognac laced Rich Fruit Cake to go.

Prices in this increasingly popular bar and restaurant are very reasonable and possibly one of the best values in Kuala Lumpur.
