One of the best "things to do" in Luang Prabang is to attend one of the Laos National Ballet performances in the Royal Palace Theatre in Luang Prabang. Tickets are sold at the Royal Palace entrance or at the door the night of the performance for: $10, $15 or $20. Front row seats worthwhile especially for photographers.

The ballet is really a must when in Luang Prabang, not touristy but genuine & sweet. The performance starts at 6pm & takes about 1 - 1 1/4 hours. The dancers are accompanied by a traditional Laos musicians and singers. A special experience, highly recommended.
