Jewel of the Nile is a small restaurant and at times you will have to share a table. It may be worth making a resevation before going.
Jewel of the Nile is open 10am til midnight everyday. They serve light snacks, breakfasts and a great selection of both Egyptian and international food. Try the egyptian set menu its great it gives a good insight into Egyptian food. Prices starting from as little as £5 for a meal and a drink.
There is free internet access and wireless connection. They have a quiz on a wednesday at 7pm to raise money for charity. They also have an afternoon quiz with afternoon tea,(fresh baked scones with jam and cream), Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 3pm, also to raise money for charity.
The restaurant is slightly
off the beaten track and because of this it makes a hassel free evening;
once you go you don't want to leave, but when the evening ends (as it
must), they will arrange a taxi back to your hotel for you.
Directions: Walking. Go to St Joseph Hotel. Turn Left or right depending on the direction you are coming from. Walk to the end of the street, turn right. Take your 4th Left. Restaurant is 100 yards up on the right hand side.
By Taxi: Ask for Fayrouze. Follow the same directions as all taxis have to go up St Jospeh Street, unless you are coming from the Jollie Ville. From Jollie Ville ask taxi to take you to Fayrouze, it will go along medins, past police station and fire station, take the 2nd right, restaurant 100 yards up on the right hand side
