More correctly, the Temple of Rameses III at Medinat Habu, it is renowned for the depth of it's hieroglyphic carvings.

To the left of the 1st Pylon are the remains of the Pharaohs Palace


 

Try and walk round the outside of the site as well – I went to the left on our way out, after leaving the 1st Pylon     

and walked around near the Sacred Lake area (a deep hole with very green water in it)


  Those at the end are from my little ‘off piste’ wander – No ropes were crossed or anything to get there.

 

It looks as if most people walk straight in, go to the end and walk straight back out and never see these areas.
