Since the convoys on the Luxor to Aswan or Aswan to Luxor have ceased you are able to gain access to some sites that even the normal cruise boats do not stop at. This is a series of inter-linked pages showing what can be seen along this road, with links to the relevant articles where they exist. The Luxor-Aswan road is only open from 6am to 6pm. Because of this it is basically impossible to see all the sites in one day.
Listed below are the main sites available to visit, in order travelling from Luxor to Aswan, but obviously they could be done in reverse.The blue ones are 'clickable' links:-

Your Choices Are:-
- · Most Tour Companies in Luxor will do them, so it is safe to say that it would be the same in Aswan.
- · Do it yourself with a taxi.
The first two can easily be seen in a morning, if Luxor is your base.
If some of the sites have already been seen whilst on a cruise (Mainly Esna, Edfu & Kom Ombo) the ones not yet be seen can be selected from the list.
