1) Emergency number: the Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even while the keypad is locked. Try it out only in a real emergency.

2) Hidden battery power:  Imagine your cell battery is very low and you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery.  To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time. You can also buy an emergency charge kit for RM10 at mall. This connector plugs into your receptacle and allows for a few minutes of emergency chat time or SMS-HELP!

1) Emergency number : 999 - police, fire brigade etc.

2) Your country's embassy phone number especially the emergency 24hrs line (if any)

3) Hotel phone numbers and address - foreigners sometimes unable pronounce the name correctly and can end up in the wrong hotel. Try to get the manager/staff mobile phone number if possible in case of emergency.  

4) Your insurance's local branch.

5) Your credit card's local bank branch (if any).
