We hired a six bed-roomed villa in the cosy beach area. A lot of Russians use the beach and well it is slightly off the beaten track between central Pattaya ( Walking St) & Jomtien. Watch out for the taxi Mafia , or raised Baht bus prices . For us it was great, two grand children , aged 11 and 12 , and then six other adults. I thought the whole place had something for everyone , nightlife mischief, Tennis at the Royal Cliff, which we played at most days as it was 4 mins from where we were( by motor bike ) Golf, bars, clean beaches on Ko Larn and at islands away from pattaya itself. Shopping , cinemas , great food , massage places straight and more risky . So all in all when we stayed for two weeks over Christmas we had a lot of fun. I have stayed in Hua Hin, which I also liked , Krabbie which was generally quieter , Phuket which is pricier . Will we return yes, but other spots to see . The water is not that clean around the area, but catch the public ferry visit Ko Larn and then hop on Motor bike taxi to explore island. We travelled onto Ko Samet, and then into Cambodia , but that was another adventure !
