With so many choices on where to spend New Years Eve, it is easy to get lost and confused. Here in Washington DC, there is definitely no shortage of events. However, there are a few events worthy of looking into due to either their unique spin on New Years Eve, affordable prices and/or location.

is throwing their 7th Annual New Years Eve Masquerade Gala at Cities in Washington DC.
Cities Restaurant and Lounge is one of DC's newer attractions and boasts
contemporary modern decor, with soft backlighting alongside state of the
art audio & visual equipment including 24 LED screens and a 51 foot
media wall. These screens showcase international cities around the
world to produce an ambience that is very unique. As of press time, tickets are $40 and include a 1 hour premium open bar, Cities catered cusine, champagne toast at midnight, and complimentary masquerade masks. Another very affordable New Years Eve is being held at Muse. The event is entitled "A New Day: New Years Eve 2012 at Muse." Muse is a 3 story nightclub and lounge located right across the street
from the Verizon Center at 717 6th St, NW Washington DC. The space will
be fully decorated with a specialized New Years Eve theme. As of press time tickets are $40 and will feature a 2 hour premium open bar, appetizers, champagne toast, and party favors. For those that want a more private
atmosphere, Muse is also selling table service starting at $500. The
table service option includes admissions, bottle(s) of Premium liquor, and bottle(s) of champagne.
The dress code for this event is semi-formal, and trendy attire. For

For those looking for a mega-club option, FUR nightclub is hosting a New Years Eve event with House superstar DJ Morgan Page. This event is for ages 18 and up, which makes it one of the few events catering to that age group. FUR is multi room nightclub that attracts a young and vibrant crowd. Finally, if you are interested in checking out something outside of the nightclub arena, Big Night DC is throwing a large hotel bash at the Gaylord in the National Harbor. This venue can fit over 2000 party goers and spans a vast space.
The party will feature unique zones each with different dj's and themes. There will be live acts and other special performances.
