Texas weather varies from the sublime to the ridiculous and touches all points in between through the year.  Due to its vast size, different parts of Texas can have quite different weather at the same time of the year particularly in Winter when it can be snowy and  freezing in the Texas Panhandle while pleasantly warm on Padre Island beaches. As a rule, the period mid-June through mid-September is hot throughout Texas with humidity affecting human comfort in all regions except the western parts of the state and the Central Texas hill country.  Spring and Fall have milder temperatures.  Visitors should refer to the Weather and When To Go Traveler Articles for Texas destinations for more specific advice.  For different regions, the Traveler Article for each destination listed below is generally representative of the region.
