The Central Basin and Sequatchie Valley are the warmest parts of the state, and Memphis in the south has a growing season of about 225 days each year.
Summers in Nashville can reach well into the 90s, but the averages as in the high 80s during the day and around 70 degrees at night. Winters can be cool but never too cold, with temperatures around the mid 40s during daylight hours.
The state doesn’t really have a true rainy season, but typically August through September is the drier months to visit, while November and December can be the wettest months.
