When an inhabitant of Czestochowa says that he is going to "avenues" (aleje) that means he is going to the city center. There are three NMP avenues, all of them not very long and rather narrow but still they make the biggest and the most important commercial area of the city. When the third avenue ends, the gardens of famous Jasna Gora (tr. light mountain) monastery begins. The tower of the Jasna Gora is the highest building in Czestochowa (100 m).
