Around the Mountains provides guided day cycle adventures through some spectacular New Zealand back country.
The guided tour starts in Queenstown at Outside Sports and sets off across Lake Wakatipu on the vintage steam ship TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak Station. From Walter Peak you are driven through Merino Sheep land and then the bikes are unloaded ready for a gentle cycle through the Von Valley to Mavora Lakes. Lunch will be taken at an historic musterers hut and then the cycle through beech forest and tussock grassland continues. There are some amazing photo opportunities along the way so be sure to bring your camera.
The day concludes with afternoon tea, scones and picklets back at Walter Peak and then the return journey to Queenstown on the TSS Earnslaw in time to venture out into Queenstown for dinner (dinner not included).
