Bonorong is a sanctuary for native Australian wildlife. It's located on the northern edge of Hobart and is open to the public every day.
It has Tasmanian devils, kangaroos, wombats and koalas. There are guided tours at 11 30am and 2pm each day. These tours include devil feeding and talks by knowledgable guides.
By far the most amazing experiences are the behind the scenes experiences. Exclusive night tours, the daytime "feeding frenzy" and the wildlife refuge experience are for those wanting an unforgettable experience with Tasmania's special species.
Bonorong runs Tasmania's only wildlife rescue service. 24 hours a day Bonorong can be called for advice on injured and orphaned wildlife. They fund this privately through visitors to the sanctuary.
