Montague Island is a small island just off the coast of New South Wales.  Originally just the location of a lighthouse, the island has a population of gulls, seals, and small penguins.  Boat trips from Narooma take about half an hour.  However, access to the island requires a ranger, so the twice-daily organized tour becomes the main way to access the island.
