Pavaroties Restaurant serves Italian food - good for families and very reasonable.
The Mad Cow - their specialty is Spanish tapas - no children after a certain time but they shouldn't be everywhere should they?
The Crab Inn - lovely thatched pub - Derry & Tina are your hosts. Brewery-owned pub (Green King) family eating and entertainment some nights.
The Village Inn - thatched pub over the road from the Crab -Joan & Paul are your hosts. Good home cooked food & nightly entertainment.
The Holliers Hotel - Hosts: Steve & Dawn, they have a serve-yourself carvery daily with carved meats etc; also a night club, large patio area with excellent entertainment nightly.
High Street Area
Morgans Restaurant - fresh Isle of Wight produce cooked by an island chef formally of the Ivy in London - a little more up market but worth the cost.
Seafront
The Shorside Hotel - serving good food reasonably priced excellent for families.
The Steamers Pub - food for all, nice in the evenings having a beer outside while you look out over the sea.
End of the Front
The Longshoreman - no children allowed inside but good drinking pub.
The Fishermans Cottage just after the road finishes; open in the summer months, serving ploughmans, etc.
Esplanade
The Chine Inn - colourful landlord Bill welcomes you for good real ales and good pub food; reasonably priced too.
The Three Bouys (at the Bayhouse) nice decking area, has just had a full refit; serves good food, excellent for families, nice view over the sea especially in the evening.
