Many travelers in Reykjavik use the bus services in the area, provided by Reykjavik Bus Service ( www.bus.is). Busses run daily, arriving at stops every twenty minutes on weekdays and every thirty minutes on evenings and weekends
There are few main bus terminals in Reykjavik (More info on www.bus.is ). The Reykjavik bus system operates twenty eight different lines. Among these, there are three different types of lines: general lines, express services lines and feeder route lines, serving different areas of Reykjavik and making it easy for travelers to get from one place to another.
Bus fares must be paid in the currency of the area and it should be noted that drivers are not able to give change. Fares for a single adult ride are ISK 280. Children ages 6-18 receive a discounted rate of ISK 100. Discount cards and passes available at bus terminals. More info, click here.
