Holland International Canal Cruises are a typical river cruise company located opposite Central Station in Amsterdam. They are a featured 'Free' cruise in the " I-Amsterdam " book, along with the Blue Boat company.
They have a small fleet of 'bateaux mouche' style boats, which will cruise the canals and harbour area, in cruises taking appx. 1 hour.
Additional services include more expensive Dinner Cruises and Candlelit Cruises with cheese and wine.
They run an overbooking policy so be prepared to not be able to sail with them on any booked cruise, even if holding a valid ticket. A full refund will be offered for non-travellers arriving in time for departure but being refused. No exeption will be made to this policy even if no alternative cruise will be available.
Alternative services are available from various other cruise companies, the closest located being 'Lovers' cruises whose ticket office is 20 yards away. Not as the name suggests an intimate cruise, rather a very similar Bateaux Mouche service with more competative prices than Holland International. The Blue Boat Company (also featured in I-Amsterdam) also run a Dinner Cruise from their berth opposite the Hard Rock Cafe, in their fleet of luxury Cruisers.
Despite displaying the 'Thomson' World of TUI Symbol on signage and brochures, Holland International staff will bizzarely deny any affiliation with TUI.
