As it is a relatively large area, the Andalusia region of Spain has several different types of sports activities to offer visitors from the common to the unusual.  One of the area's natural wonders, its caves, provide adventurous tourists with great opportunities to explore.  Caves are located throughout Andalucia and its mountainous areas.  There are also several caves in Malaga, along Andalusia's southern coast.  Cueva del Gato is a large Malaga cave where visitors can check out its entrance area for some distance without special equipment.  The cave is home to several underground lakes and rivers.  Beyond the entrance area an escort and special equipment is needed.  Also in Malaga is Cueva de Tesoro, a marine cave which is open to the public and features ancient cave drawings.

Adventurous travelers to Andalusia may also want to try paragliding, a combination of parachuting and hang gliding.  This sport is generally found in the region's mountainous areas where leaping from high altitudes is possible, including several in Cadiz, Seville, and Granada.  Contact the Club-Escuela Parapente Aventura in Fuengirola at 952 664722 for more information on paragliding excursions.
