Located in the southwestern part of Germany, Stuttgart is in a temperate zone and experiences all four seasons.  The city generally has cold winters, pleasant springs which arrive a bit earlier than in the rest of the country, warm summers, and beautiful autumn weather with warm days and cool nights.  The average temperature during Stuttgart's summer months is in the high 70's to low 80's, while during the winter the temperatures average in the high 30's, occasionally dropping below the freezing mark.  Stuttgart's climate is considered to be mild compared to that of cities in the rest of the country.  The summer months in Stuttgart generally see more rainfall than during the rest of the year.
