If you're looking for a different Paris experience, something innovative & away from the typical tourist machine, a bike tour may be for you. There are many bike tour companies you can choose from in Paris, but here are some suggestions:
Fat Tire Bike Tours - By far the largest and most established bicycle tour company in Paris, they have been featured in publications such as Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, the USA Today and shown on CNN and The Travel Channel. American-owned and operated, they have been offering bike (and Segway and walking) tours of Paris for over a decade. Tours include Paris by Day, Paris by Night, Versailles and Monet's Gardens. This is the only year-round bicycle tour company in Paris and has a fabulous office just next to the Eiffel Tower where customers can enjoy free bathrooms, internet access, hotel and restaurant reservations and heaps of Paris information from their friendly office staff. They also offer free daily luggage storage for their customers.
Bike About Tours - This small company offers insider bike tours of Paris and shows you the city through the eyes of English-speaking Parisians. Their guides have been in Paris for years, speak the language, and know the real stories behind the 'city of light'. They give three tours everyday at 10am, 3pm, an 7pm, and even offer free French wine at the end of each tour. Their meeting point is next to the huge Charlemagne statue in front of Notre Dame Cathedral's front doors.
Paris Bike Tours - Offers tours or just bike rentals for the do-it-yourself traveler.
