1728 – Incredibly romantic setting and it is not exorbitantly priced.
Aux Lyonnais. An Alain Ducasse restaurant for 100 euros for two? You bet. Top! Be prepared, however, to be surrounded by upscale American tourists or expats.
Café Constant. Casual. Great food. Get the “Île Flottante” (floating islands - meringue floating in crème anglaise) for dessert. On rue St. Dominique near Champs de Mars and rue Cler. 110 euros for two.
Cafe Delmas. 2, Place de la Contrescarpe. Paris 75005. This cafe/brasserie in the heart of Hemingway's Left Bank is worth knowing about. Note the high number of local Parisians tucking into the tasty Sunday brunch. Come for a coffee or a full meal - it is relaxed, stylish, and even - gasp! - child-friendly. Not cheap, but not a tourist trap either. Afterwards, stroll down the rue Mouffetard, one of the city's most atmospheric street markets.
Chartier. Fun and cheap with beautiful art nouveau décor. You may find yourself sharing a water bottle and bread basket with a Parisian or someone from Finland, Warsaw, Buenos Aires, or Tokyo. The place has not changed in 50 years. Located near la Bourse. They don't take reservations so just show up at 4 rue du Faubourg Montmartre. You may have to join the queue but it's all part of the experience. They are open 11am to 3 pm & 6pm to 10pm.
Chez Michel - This is one of the TOP places in Paris, in some critic's opinions. Brittany and Normandy dishes. Community dining downstairs. They have a 32 euro prix fixe menu that is very good.
Ladurée - A great place to have an afternoon tea although they serve meals as well. The amazing selection of pastries and the famous macarons are delicious! The ambience and decor are equally fantastic!
La Fontaine de Mars. Also on Rue St. Dominique (near the Eiffel Tower). Excellent food, English menu for those who need it, friendly service.
La Pré Verre – You know it must be good if the Parisians line up to get into the place. On rue Thenard in the Latin Quarter near the Cluny, across the street from the Hotel du College de France. An excellent value.
Le Bois Rouge - Casual dinning featuring southern French cooking. It is located a couple of blocks south of Gare de l'Est, on a side street off rue Strasbourg, or 14 rue de la Fidelite to be exact. It is not a huge fancy resturant but kind of cozy place that you would like to bring a friend for a chat over good meal. You'll enjoy the duck/canard dishes in particular, perserved duck legs and pate. In addition, the lady owner is very kind. Its fixed manual or formule are 18 euro or 25 euro, worth trying for sampling different tastes.
Le Coupe Chou – It is a very nice place located in the Latin Quarter. Nice for couples.

Enjoy a 2 hour Cooking class followed by a typical evening in a Parisian Restaurant. Be the chef and create a typical French Gastronomy meal with a Chef who speaks english fluently. Then your creations will be served by a real Maitre D. Early booking recommended, because it is often fully booked 2 weeks in advance.
