The city of Bristol has many outdoor events and festivals thoughout the year, but the bulk of them take place during the spring and summer months, for obvious reasons. These events range from a number of things, including food tastings, wine tasting, and art exhibitions. Throughout the summer, there are almost weekly events going on. Some of the upcoming events this summer include the Lawrence Weston Carnival, the Lockleaze Festival, and the Southmead Celebration. These are festivals that take place annually, but this year they take place in the middle of July. The Lawrence Weston Carnival is a great event for families. This is a free, circus-themed all day event that features homemade floats, jugglers, magicians, and food for all. The Lockleaze Festival is another carnival-themed event, but this time with a pirate-related theme. Again, there are floats and entertainers for the whole family. The Southmead Celebration is all about the Wild West, and food and entertainment for all ages accompany all day games and events.
