There are regular scheduled shuttles thoughout the day that will take you from the Calgary airport to the door of your hotel (and the other way around, too, on the sad day when your vacation comes to an end). Banff Airporter and Brewster both offer this service.

Bow Valley Regional Transit runs an hybrid/biodiesel public transit fleet called Roam. You'll recognize the Roam buses by their colourful wildlife-themed wraps. You can read all about the routes, schedules and fares at this link: www.roamtransit.com
Many hotels on the bus routes give their guests free passes for the Roam system. Check with your hotel desk.
If you're comfortable on a bicycle, there are lots of rental shops to get you in the saddle and on your way. Check with your hotel desk for the one nearest you.
And, of course, you can walk. Banff is very pedestrian-friendly, with excellent directional signs and broad sidewalks.
