OUTSIDE OF THE CITY
In addition to the many attractions and activities found within the City of Acapulco itself, there are several daytrip options available to those travelers who have both an interest in exploring 'further beyond' and the time to do so. Some of these places are located just on the outskirts of the city proper - and involve little travel time; others, however, may require from one to four hours of travel each way (depending on your mode of transportation). For those which are nearby, within Greater Acapulco, transportation options are more flexible: taxi, local bus, or private driver. Other destinations may be reached via first-class bus or by hiring a private driver / tour guide, the latter being the more costly option. Of course, those who have access to a personal or rental vehicle have even more flexibility; yet most visitors, especially foreigners, would be best advised to travel by taxi or bus - and in certain cases, to hire a private driver.
Nonetheless, there's as big a world outside of Acapulco as there is within; and all are unique daytrip destinations worthy of consideration.
