Some travelers enjoy SCUBA diving or snorkeling when on vacation; and, though not widely thought of as a dive destination, Acapulco offers many enthusiasts a safe and enjoyable underwater experience. Most would agree that diving and snorkeling here isn't nearly comparable to or as thrilling as what the Caribbean and east-coast Mexico have on tap; but for those with little expectation who'd like to explore the depths of Acapulco Bay or the Boca Chica Channel, several local companies are available and willing to assist with arranging dives, renting equipment, or providing both day and night dive excursions.
