Roaring Fork Valley overview

Bordered by the towering, beautiful Elk Mountains, Western Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley stretches from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. The glitzy ski resorts of Aspen and Snowmass are the area's prime attractions. But fly-fishing on the Fryingpan River, whitewater rafting on the Roaring Fork and hiking within the White River National Forest are becoming increasingly popular. Those not travelling by ski or Skidoo can drive between communities or hop on the extensive public transport system.
