Majorca overview

Captivating Mallorca has been a popular tourist destination since the '50s. The sunny island that inspired Chopin and Miró now has a reputation as a spring-break destination. Bar Abaco, with its 16th-century church-inspired décor, has to be seen to be believed. Marineland's dolphin and sea-lion shows and children's beach attract families. Es Trenc is a popular beach. An antique train travels the 17 miles between Palma and Soller. Otherwise, cars and bikes cover the ground most efficiently.
