Natural splendor abounds at Joshua Tree National Park, home to diverse wildlife and magnificent landscapes. The park's 550,000 plus acres of wilderness boast flora and fauna galore, with blooming Joshua Trees, yucca and cacti creating the habitat for over 250 species of birds and 44 species of reptiles. Climbers enjoy dreamlike rock formations like the Old Woman and the Hidden Valley. Campers can stay in any of nine campgrounds in the park, or go backcountry camping, following park regulations.
