Great Basin National Park overview

Although often mistaken for a barren wasteland, Great Basin National Park is anything but. Its varied elevation, ranging between 5,000 and 13,000 feet, hosts a vast diversity of flora and fauna, from alpine wildflowers, aspen and mountain lions to prickly pear cactus and desert snakes. Its terrain offers a similarly diverse mix, with scorching desert valleys, glacial peaks, rivers, the gorgeous Lehman Caves and the Lexington Arch, a rare formation rising six stories.
