Dry Tortugas National Park overview

Named for the abundance of sea turtles that once made their home on these islands, Dry Tortugas National Park still provides the habitat for loggerhead, hawksbill, green and leatherback sea turtles, among myriad sea birds and marine life. The remote park's waters, full of shipwrecks, coral reefs and shoals, are popular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Above the surface, Fort Jefferson offers a glimpse at the history of the islands and Garden Key provides awe-inspiring camping and tours.
