We have stayed twice at Joia. First time June 2008, we booked the cheap rooms without pool access the first time, and gazed envious at the ones with direct pool access.

We were very happy about the quality the first time and therefore choose to book another trip to the same hotel 2 years later, this time with pool access!

We arrived at noon and our room was not cleaned yet, so we were upgraded to a better one with jacuzzi. Unfortunately when we arrived at the room it was not cleaned either. Whipped cream and champagne is nice, if not opened and used. Basicly they had given us access without checking if the room was cleaned first. We were then handed another room instead, without jacuzzi though...

It is a nice hotel but due to their mistakes during our last visit we will not go here again. If the weather is nice it is very comfortable and cosy. The breakfast is not dazzling but ok..

When you arrive at the Joia Apartments it is easy to be put off by the fact that it's in the middle of nowhere, but once you enter through the beautiful gates and drive into the underground parking you know that you have found a hidden gem.

We stayed in apartment 120 which had a jaccuzzi bath and opened up on the the stunning swimming pool. All in all for what you pay these apartments are gorgeous. Obviously the down side is the location, it isn't in a resort and there are no on-site facillities so literally we ended up going to the supermarket to stock up, however it serves it's purpose fantastically well.

The Joia Hotel is located in the medical industrial area of Bergamo in Northern Italy. It is in a class above anything you could find in the UK. The luxury apartments are breathtaking. I have never seen a better appartment.
Huge TV, bar, living area, bedroom, kitchen, jacuzi, shower, and when you open the doors to your patio, it’s a few steps away from the pool.
As a frequent visitor to Bergamo, I choose to stay here, and each time I do, I am just amazed at the sheer quality of every little detail.
The parking is underground, the breakfast area is also underground, and at ground level you see lawns, flowers, aparttments and the fantastic swimming pool. I cannot recommend this hotel high enough.

The rooms are very nice, but the site is located in the middle of nowhere. There is no central bar nor restaurant so you have to take a taxi to get anywhere. And the taxis are horribly expensive (35 EUR for a 10 min trip).
