We chose to stay in Pontorson as we needed to take the train the following morning. We chose this hotel as the restaurant looked great on their website. The hotel is ok, quite old fashioned. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to 'staff illness' although I suspect that as we were there slightly out of season the restaurant just isn't opened - I think we were the only guests. We went to see if we could eat at Hotel de France which also looked like it had a good restaurant nut it too was closed!!!

Overall, the hotel was fine, but the limited eating options in Pontorson were a disappointment.

After seven hours driving from Brussels we arrived in Portonson quite late (1.15), but we let them know before when we did the reservation. Everything was close, and dark. We called the number that it was on the door, but noone answered... so we thought we had to spend the night there... I knocked in the door, and finally a gentleman appeared and open the door, of course he wasn´t happy... for sure he were sleeping... After he could understand that we wrote before that we could be late, he gave us the key of our room number 8.

The room was basic, nice and clean, but we couldn´t expect better with that price. The bed was nice and confortable. TV was working. Bathroom was clean and with the all small stuff that you can imaging.

When we left the hotel, the receptionist (the same gentleman of the night before) was really happy and nice person.
