“to be avoided”

Have had wonerfull holidays in Turkey , look forward to going back - but NEVER to this place again. I pity the staff ,nice people whose spirits were ground down by the sheer unrelenting rudeness of hoardes of German people. We made daily trips to some of the many lovely places nearby - chiefly to salvage some enjoyment and to get away from this hotel and the truly dreadfull food .Shame

“Dangerous location”

The pool areas are very slippy, numerous people taken away in wheelchairs, spinal boards, etc., including my daughter-in-law.

Couldn't relax had to watch your step and the grandchildrens. Even at night the show area was right next to the large pool and the access to the tunnel for the beach, so had to be on watch all the time.

Exactly at 9 pm the waiters took your plates from you, whether you had finished your meal or not.

Have been to Turkey many times, but this was not typical of Turkey, I told the people who said they wouldn't go back to Turkey to not think this was the real Turkey.

“Just fine”

Hotel consists of 3 storey buildings arranged as a village street, beginning at pool with water-sliders and Italian restaurant and ending at another pool wit shopping area, main restaurant, bars and eventing-show stage.
To get to the sea you should come over (bridge) or under (tunnel) a highway passing along the shore. But this facilities are closed after 9 p.m. so it will take you out of hotel territory to get a romantic trip to an evening beach.
Location allows you to catch a "dolmush" (route bus) and get to Alanya in half an hour.

There are three worth to notice disadvantages:
- beach sand is dusty so the water is non-transparent even while not so bad a weather
- outside "village street" you will find nothing pleasant to put your eye on. We didn't enjoy view out of windows much
- there is no free wi-fi even at reception and there is no 220V sockets even in your room

But advantages are bigger:
- Nice food. You may eat all day through. It helps sometimes especially if you are with children
- It's clean everywhere
- Professional staff
- Fine 3-room family apartments

P.S. There is some mess with hotel and place names on the TripAdvisor.
Correct name of the hotel is "Eftalia Village"
Correct name of place is Turkler

“Fantastic Family Holiday”

We stayed the first week in August, myself, husband, 3 children ages 21, 19, 11 plus my 2 yr old grandson. Rooms were clean and bright. Food was tasty always something to eat, from a huge range of breakfast with really tasty freshly cooked omelettes to the the late supper, of soup, fresh bread, cheeses and cold meats, you could not go hungry, we had loads! Staff were great, from feeding my grandson when he refused to eat for us to the great display for my daughters 21st birthday, a procession of waiters with stakes of fire and fireworks to surround our table to present her birthday cake, they also decorated our table with balloons etc., she was suitably embarrassed however she wont forget it in a hurry. Slides and pool were great, we spent time in each of the two pools, however he preferred the one with the slides, even my grandson was zooming down them. If you want a little peace from children there is a third pool for over 14s. The location not too far from hotel, a short taxi ride takes you into shopping centre, where my husband had a cut throat shave and a hair cut, very thorough and my daughters had their hair braided. The local Turkish men were very complimentary to our daughters but not slimey. The whole experience was brilliant I really can't think of a single negative thing. Try it you'll like it!!

“Do not go to this hotel if you are British”

We have just returned on 26th October 2011 from week in the Eftalia Village and never again. it's probably deemed to be great if you are european, went to the kids disco it was German, the kids club was German, if I had wanted a german holiday we would have gone to Germany. There is no way this is a 4 or 5 star resort, the food was edible but again caters for other nationalities, we enjoy trying all sorts of foods from around the world but this was just rubbish.
The beach is disgusting piles of black bags old tin baths and old rugs lying not far from where people are lying on their sunloungers which to look like they have seen better days. There was no entertainment at night we were in bed by 10pm it was like being in a retirement home, people sat about if you could find a seat, playing cards. This was our first visit to Turkey and based on this we have no desire to go back
