“Perfect for a quiet couples getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in January for our honeymoon. Leading upto our stay the weather was terrible, I received a call from the lovely staff at Nirvana asking if we would prefer a 3 bedroom skyhome on the 12th floor instead of the 2 bedroom sub-penthouse with roof top pool/BBQ area we had originally booked. The staff explained to me the roof top area would be wet and windy and we should take the free upgrade on offer. Upon checking in the room was spectacular, it was the best room we have ever stayed in. It was huge and just perfect to relax in with its multiple balconies, sweeping views from snapper rocks upto surfers paradise and comfy couches to choose from. No expense has been spared in the entire apartment. All the staff be it the cleaning girls or the girls on the front desk were very friendly, and with GG's cafe across the road doing a fantastic breaky we totally enjoyed our 3 nights and only wished it was longer. We had 12 people over for dinner and the apartment was more than big enough to entertain/show off. We both prefer this end of the gold coast as its quieter than Surfers and the beaches are nicer.

Room Tip: Go the Sky home for pure luxury

“Instant Relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We recently stayed a week in 1204 at Nirvana and were impressed with the quality of this accommodation. Firstly, the welcome by Barbara in reception was warm and friendly and a nice introduction to our stay. The apartment had the most spectacular views and the balcony was a very enjoyable space to share a few drinks. The decor was beautiful with lots of white and glass, and ample comfortable seating on white leather lounges. However, considering the quality we were surprised there was no Foxtel. The main bedroom was equally spectacular with great decor but only a double bed which took a bit of getting used to after the king bed at home. Just having a cotton throw on the bed was ideal for the warm nights (and I guess ease of washing). The ensuite, which shared the wonderful view through its extensive use of glass, had a lovely rain shower and a double basin with plenty of space to accommodate the cosmetics. The kitchen was spacious with plenty of glassware, cutlery and crockery, although we would have appreciate better quality cookware and more serving platters/dishes.
Although staying at Nirvana was a very enjoyable experience, at times the traffic was a bit noisy at night and heavier blinds would help block out the very early morning sun.
Kirra is a beautiful beach with warm water, a great paved foreshore for morning walks and also sitting to people watch in the evenings. Lots of shops and restaurants close by meant we could walk straight off the beach to buy a massive salad roll for lunch. The Gelato Bar on the ground floor of Nirvana was also very popular as was the Thai restaurant within 5 mins walk. However, one disappointment was the coffee bar (I think called Amira) on the ground floor. The brochure in the apartment listed they had children's breakfasts that included pancakes and also a breakfast that included juice and coffee. After being enticed by this we found the breakfast (at the same price as shown in the apartment guide) did not include juice or coffee and there were no children's breakfasts. As a compromise we ordered waffles for the kids to share that turned out to be hard and unappetising.
Overall, Nirvana at Kirra was a great place to stay and we hope to return to soon.

“Spectacular luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

This place was simply too good to be true. We rented the Beach House which was a top end apartment with private garden and plunge pool and every modern convenience you could think of. We were there for three nights which gave us plenty of time to settle in; unfortunately we did have to leave. The staff told us that the top floor penthouse style apartments have the same floor plan with a view to die for (but no private pool).I would recommend this place to families, couple and groups of friends. There is plenty of space, close to the Kirra Beach shops, a short walk to Coolangatta, and directly across from the beach. Nirvana by the Sea - sure is!

Room Tip: If you can get the Beach house you will be in heaven - a private garden (with gate into the main poo...

“Exceptional! We want to buy one.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

We stayed at the Nirvana on the 15th floor recently and all I can say is - WOW! It had everything you could ever need. Wonderfully stocked kitchen, modern appliances from reputable brands, and the view is awesome! There was a few little things in regards to cleanliness but I still gave them 5 stars as it has to be the cleanest apartment we have ever stayed in still, especially with all the glass in the apartment and not one mark on any of it. All the glass meant there was also plenty of natural light and all this situated in a quiet little area only a stone-throw from the airport and Gold Coast. All of this on top of friendly and helpful service. We highly recommend to stay here and will be staying again on our next visit to the Goldie.

“'The best family holiday... have already booked to return!'”

This apartment 'The Beach House' certainly has the 'wow' factor... we stayed here for 12nights. We have three children 3yrs and under. It was perfect for a young family. Extremely spacious and light. The apartment is on the 2nd level... I was a bit apprehensive that the views may be disappointing but I was pleasantly surprised... the views were gorgeous. Outside you have your own private spacious garden and pool which was fantastic for our kids. The 'plunge' pool as it is described on the website is actually quite large and heated to about 32degrees...we spent hours in there! It is flood lit at night which makes for relaxing evenings. The garden has direct access to the main pool and spa which is so helpful when you have a young family and would be perfect for teenagers too.

Inside, the apartment is tastefully furnished and appointed with everything you could imagine... the owner has even thought of little helpful items like a guest umbrella. The bedrooms are huge all with their own bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large spa bath and doors that open outside onto a large day bed... and zen garden.

The c-bus system which controls most of the blinds and all lights inside and out... add an extra touch of luxury. The apartment also has its own theatre room... which I am sure is fantastic except we used it as a fourth bedroom baby son... plenty of room for a portacot!

Staff were sensational especially Barbara... she provided the most personalised service and nothing was ever a problem... from my initial correspondence to organise the holiday to mailing back a DVD we left in the apartment. She is outstanding.

In addition to the apartment it is well located directly across from the gorgeous Kirra beach... it is surrounded by numerous cafes and restaurants... the gelati store under the building is a little too close to resist a regular visit. For a great pizza or pasta try Pizza Capers across the road... we really enjoyed take away from both the Burger Lounge under the building and Sala Thai down the road.

We have been visiting the Gold Coast every year from Melbourne and since we were kids and now we are bringing our own family... and this was our best holiday ever!! Best apartment we have ever stayed in on the Gold Coast. Already booked to return in 2012!
