“This is simply the best hostel you will go to in Chile.”

This is the best hostel u will go to in chile.

Why?
- location location location... Half way between Punta de lobos and Pichilemu town center is ideal
- transport... four radical bikes to cruise around with
- tasty buffet breakfast ... included and goes pretty much all day
- weekend BBQs ... go off with bonfire, music, and cervezas
- the dogs ... are always good company
- Housekeeping every morning... keeps the place spotless
- Hammocks and a wrap-around porch ... are a must in the sun with views over the pacific ocean
- saving the best till last... The owners (Rodrigo & Ben) are a match made in heaven: rodrigo, the ideal stay at home dad, is a comedian, an ex celebrity chef who cooks u amazing dishes, he plays the guitar and keeps the place tidy (sorry ladies he is already taken). Ben, the ex pro skier, will take u for surfs, give u yoga classes or skiing lessons, as well as a Swedish massage if required.
- their chilled-out best friend Snickers is an awesome addition to the house... and comes as part of the furniture!

You got to go there to experience Chile. We stayed over a month... coming back soon I hope.

Signed: Damo & the Reckingball

“Great staff who treats you as real friends”

Great grill, best breakfast ever. Not really a hostal but a house of friends you can come home to.

“Great Hosts & Atmosphere at the Most Friendly Hostel in Chile!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 March 2011

If you are looking for the warmest Chilean welcome possible from the coolest Chilenos, Casa Verde is your home. Ocean views from a cosy cabin on the hill above town, a wraparound porch, big windows, and clean rooms make your stay comfortable, but it´s the hospitality that makes this place the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The whole place sleeps 12, so you feel like you´re at a cabin with old friends for the weekend. This is entirely thanks to the tone set by Rodrigo, the bilingual ski instructor/surfer and most friendly and fun host you can imagine, and the lovely Michelle. They will envelope you in their community, and if you´re lucky you´ll catch a bbq and bonfire with their friends. They´ll set you up with surf gear and lessons, take you on trips to the beach and may even catch a wave with you if they´ve got time. I can´t recommend this place enough. Time will stand still and you´ll never want to leave the cabin on the hill and the company of these most generous and fun people.

Hi Marcelo ! ... you forgot some important details in your comment that we would like to explain:

1.We picked up Marcelo from Santiago`s international airport and took him to the hostel in Pichilemu for $10 dollars (3 hr driving, only the taxi from the airport to Santiago will cost you 50 dollars then the bus to Pichilemu another $10).
2. For a week he`d surf the best swell conditions in Pichilemu, we showed him the spot, acces and more, then we took him to the best SECRET spot around here, again best conditions, and helped him talking with the locals who wanted to fight him cause he didn`t respect the rest while he was surfing, he also didn`t pay $20 dollars we asked him the day before for petrol (For a whole day surf trip, usually you would pay $100 dollars for a surf trip, secret spot).
3. He present himself like a super cool yoga guy, so we hook him up to all activities like a friend and at the end he showed us his real violent and grumpy behaviour.

It is true that one night was a bit noise cause we had a couple of late check inn but it didn`t last long at all as his violent attitude scared them all, not the best way of course ... about the internet we do have WIFI ... it is normal that some days works slower.

If you read all our comments you`ll realize that this comment was made by someone who really didn`t understand what he got here, sad but true.
